While it is known that power wheelchairs can positively impact on well-being, self-esteem, pain, activity and participation, health professionals who evaluate and train patients to use this technology report that it sometimes cannot be provided to individuals with cognitive, visual and motor problems. Over the past few years, technological advancements have allowed the development of wheelchairs that can drive themselves semi-autonomously according to a predetermined path and avoid obstacles.

Or maybe there are two double-edged swords, here: the double-edged sword of the charity’s request, and the double-edged sword of the corporate donation. Everyone likes corporate philanthropy, but clearly no one is fully comfortable with it.

Une petite histoire de la radiologie

À la fin du 19e siècle, le physicien Wilhelm Röntgen s’intéresse aux rayons cathodiques. Il découvre accidentellement que certaines formes de rayonnement traversent la paroi du tube cathodique et peuvent être détectées. Röntgen publie en 1895 un article sur sa découverte traitant notamment du pouvoir de pénétration du « rayon X ».
